Courtney Chavez, 2019 Graduate
Cosmetology
Courtney received a degree from Ball State in Sociology and Gender Studies but never saw herself having a career in academics. She chose Denmark College because of the approach to teaching. She wanted to learn how to manage multiple textures of hair from a diverse staff and learn alongside a diverse student body.
“My classmates pushed each other to do our best and never let one another quit or come up with excuses as to why we couldn’t come to school and do our best to succeed.“
